Adding Fruits

Fruits are packed with vitamins and minerals as well as some of the best fat we can consume (avocado and coconut). They also contain sugar (fructose) which supplies the body with much needed energy and acts as a deterrent to gorging yourself with processed sugars that can lead to obesity.

Keep in mind though, if your goal is to lose weight or lower your cholesterol, you may want to take it easy on the fruit. Try adding just a little bit; enough to turn that sludge into something more palatable.

Like with the greens, variety is key so stick with Mother Nature and only eat fruits that are in season in your particular area.
