A fresher healthier approach to its boozier counterpart (the Mojito), the Mango Mint-jito is packed with vitamins, fiber, antioxidants and a number of properties beneficial to a healthy digestive tract (check the ingredients page to learn more about all the health benefits). All the while staying true to its tropical origin in taste.
In fact, I made one for my alcoholic brother and he didn’t even know the difference. He drank three and instead of falling down the stairs and blaming the neighbors two year old toddler for pushing him, he did seven loads of laundry and finished his résumé.
Try it and let’s see what you can do.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of fresh or frozen mango
- 1 big handful of lettuce greens
- 5 large mint leaves
- 1/2 of one lemon (juice)
- 1/2 of one lime (juice)
- 1/2 – 1 banana
- 1/2 – 1 cup of water
- 3-4 cubes of ice
Perfect first thing in the morning before your daily grind or while relaxing poolside. Blend together and serve immediately to enjoy its freshness.
Don’t worry, my brother isn’t an alcoholic. Actually, I don’t even have a brother.

I made it but mine was kind of mealy/chunky. What did I do wrong? Is that how it’s supposed to be?
Did you use romaine lettuce or green leaf lettuce? If you did you may need to remove the large parts of the lettuce ribs because that causes the mealy/chunky texture.
You can also try adding a bit more liquid.
Your best bet is probably just switching to red leaf lettuce as it chunks up a lot less; it’s healthier too.
I did! I tried it again with red leaf and it’s delicious. Thanks!
Mango Mint-jito is my favorite so far. Can’t wait for new healthy creations.
